Licensed by the District of Columbia, the State of Michigan, and the State of Maryland, Ms. Bassey provides family-centered healthcare to patients of all ages. Her scope of practice encompasses health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis and management of common and complex health care problems, beginning in childhood and continuing throughout the aging process. Victoria  Bassey completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at The University of the District of Columbia, which is the only public university in the United States capital.  She then earned her Master of Science degree at Bowie State University in Bowie, Maryland.  Involved in medical research for a major part of her career working for the National Institute of Health, Ms. Bassey’s current work includes caring for a panel of patients; adolescent -to-geriatric; providing care for acute, chronic and urgent needs at ROSEU medical center in Laurel, MD. Her earnest desire is to enhance a positive healing experience and enhance confidence to those in need.

Mr. Umana has many years of legal practice, business and administrative experience.Prior positions include Litigation Partner with the Law Offices of Quartey & Umana, LLC, Silver Spring, Maryland, USA; Associate in the Law Firm of Udo Udoma & Co., (now Udoma and Belo-Osagie) and Partner in the Law Firm of Hues Associates, Law Group, both in Lagos, Nigeria; also Partner in the Law Firm of Osa Idahosa and Partners, Ikeja, Lagos. In these legal positions Mr. Umana engaged in solicitor and advocacy work, including client representation, negotiations, research, drafting, advice and counseling, including significantly working on incorporating the Nigeria LNG project and related early implementation contracts. Mr. Umana has served as consultant or consulted as expert in a wide variety of cases even when he has not acted as counsel, especially on aspects of Nigerian Constitutional, Personal, Private and Public Laws, Petroleum, Technology and Public Security and Safety Law. He has represented and consulted for governments and government officials both in the United States and in Nigeria. Mr. Umana’s administrative and business experiences include many years in government where he was Human Resources Specialist, Program Monitor and later, the Executive Assistant to the Chief of Staff, Baltimore City DSS during the Mayor Schmoke administration, where he represented the Agency as liaison on various inter-agency committees including the city-wide intergovernmental agencies committee for the implementation of the Ryan White Act. He also served as Program Coordinator of various programs for the agency and monitored the execution and implementation of various agency core competency contracts. Mr. Umana worked for Nations Bank on Remittances and Management Information Data reporting units. Mr. Umana was also the Executive Director, InterVision Marketing Ltd, an Event and Sports Marketing firm in Lagos, Nigeria for three years. Mr. Umana has been the Legal Counsel of the Akwa Ibom State Association, Nigeria, USA, Inc., and an ex-officio member of the Board of Trustees for many years, and is involved in other aspects of community and not-for-profit work. He is a non-member patron of, and a major benefactor to other cultural and advocacy groups.
